Meet Dr. Goddard

With nearly 30 years of experience, Dr. Michael Goddard is an expert in leadership development and strategic management. Since 2021, he has overseen all operations at Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas. He has also been an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University since 2019 and previously served as CEO of Goddard Leadership Group LLC from 2017 to 2022.

Dr. Goddard's past roles include superintendent of Lovejoy ISD (2019-2021), Red Oak ISD (2017-2019), and assistant superintendent at Prosper ISD (2010-2017). He was also principal of Lovejoy High School (2005-2010) and an administrator in McKinney ISD (2001-2005). His career began as director at T Bar M Camps & Retreats in 1994.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in public relations and marketing from Austin State University (1994) and a Doctor of Education in educational leadership from the University of North Texas (2004). He is also certified as a leadership trainer by The Jon Gordon Companies and Maxwell Leadership.

Dr. Goddard has been recognized for his work, including being named CEO of the Year by the Dallas Morning News in 2020 and Prosper Person of the Year nominee in 2015 and 2016. A strong community advocate, he has volunteered with the Special Olympics for 18 years. Looking ahead, he aims to further support young students in exploring their faith and education.
